Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Detailing and Estimating operations across multiple regions. Responsible for managing a multi-regional team of Estimators, Detailers, and partner with the Senior Manager, Fabrication & Rebar Operations with project coordination for rebar fabrication and forming and shoring jobs. Provides guidance and manages workload and training for supervisors of Estimators and Detailers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Oversees the review of plans and assigns customer projects to detailing teams.

• Standardizes estimations and detailing templates for communication with customers.

• Ensures communication with customers and the Fabrication & Rental teams to maintain reasonable and timely scheduling expectations. Communicates with customers and/or Designers to clarify any missing or unclear details related to the reinforcing or forming/shoring requirements of a project.

• Gather details of the project from the customer and schedules with the rebar shop or rental site.

• Oversees the hiring, performance management, and training and development for supervisors of Detailers and Estimators.

• Solutions require analysis and investigation.

• Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

• Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Education and Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage a complex team

• Experience with AutoCad preferred

• aSa knowledge preferred

• Experience with solving complex problems.

• Ensures that work is performed consistently with company policies and procedures.

• Knowledge of rebar fabrication preferred
