Saint-Gobain Logistics Supervisor in NORCROSS, Georgia

The Logistics Supervisor reports to the Logistics and Inventory Manager and serves as direct leadership to the shipping and receiving staff. In addition, this role will ensure all warehouse functions are operating properly; inventory is stored per the requirements, quality procedures are performed routinely, orders are produced as needed and shipments are shipped out on time to meet customer deadline dates. Additional duty overview is as follows:--

  • Coordinate labor needs with other Supervisors and departments as needed.

  • Monitor daily outbound Shipping Report to ensure meeting customer expectations.

  • Work closely with Planning/Scheduling to ensure orders are produced and shipped on time.-

  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage FTL and/or LTL freight pickups and deliveries from supplier base to customer locations nationwide. Assist as needed and oversee the process to ensure that local pick-up and deliveries are coordinated.

  • Prepare accurate bill of ladings for third party shipments.

  • Organize shipping documents and pictures into CSR file folder.

  • File freight claims and coordinate these activities with Quality and project management.

  • Work closely with the Logistics Manager and the team to ensure the department is operating to meet the company goals and objectives.

The Logistics Supervisor will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse management. This role requires strong leadership skills with the ability to develop standardized warehouse and shipping processes to be followed across departments.

  • SAP and EWM application.

  • Basic knowledge of production procedures.

  • Attention to Detail.

  • Familiar with safety standards for a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.

  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite
