As a software engineer, you will own driving software architecture. You should be a distributed systems generalist, able to architect broad systems interactions, while being very hands-on, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and lower level system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement low ego changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are multifaceted and sophisticated needing independent judgment. Fully proficient in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

As a senior member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. A good knowledge of high-load applications and cloud deployment tools is encouraged. Proficiency in Java, shell scripting, and tools like docker, kubernetes, terraform, etc is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own technical design of key areas of the product.

• Take Accountability to deliver features within schedule and in good quality

• Collaborate with other product and services teams.

• Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that may dent team’s ability to complete.

• identify operational gaps and design solution to mitigate it.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 5+ years of experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.

• Proven understanding of Kuber/ Java, C/C++, Go/Rust (Good to have), and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.

• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals..

• Strong fixing and performance tuning skills.

• Linux system knowledge and Operations knowledge.

• Experience with operational support on Cloud would be a plus.
