​​Power BI team is hiring a Principal Engineering Manager to further improve growth and satisfaction of paginated reports on Power BI service and on-premise Report Server. These are heavily used offerings and we plan to grow them further through increased investments in these areas. Paginated reports are operational in nature, suited for printing and sharing. Power BI Report Server is an on-premises report server with a web portal in which you display and manage reports.

Responsibilities

​​*Lead a team of engineers to build features which influence growth of Power BI.

*Mentor and grow the engineers in your team.

*Design, implement and operate end-to-end product experiences. We expect you to lead the technical architecture, design & code reviews, and delivery of projects, interfacing with other disciplines.

*Collaborate with product managers to layout and manage the feature execution and rollout plan.

*Collaborate with your engineering peers across US and India to effectively deliver on time and with high quality.​

Qualifications

Required /Minimum Qualifications

​​*Computer Science BS/MS degree OR related technical field with programming in languages such as, but not limited to, C#, Java, C++ or Python

*6+ years of software development experience

*2+ years of experience with frontend technologies such as, but not limited to, Javascript, React, Angular

*2+ years of experience managing people

*Experience in developing and shipping services

*Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and planning with a proven dedication to the achievement of others

*Availability to attend required meetings during Pacific Time​

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

• This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
