S&P Global Senior DevOps Engineer in Noida, India

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging a deep understanding of AWS services.

  • Develop and manage deployment pipelines using CI/CD practices to automate software delivery processes.

  • Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to provision and manage resources efficiently.

  • Ensure the hygiene of the platform by monitoring and maintaining system health, performance, and availability.

  • Identify and address vulnerabilities in the system, implementing security best practices to enhance overall security posture.

  • Create and manage alarms and alerts for detecting and responding to anomalies and security threats.

  • Implement containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to streamline deployment and scalability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system architecture for reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Follow agile methodologies and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and automation.

  • Deep knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and others.

  • Proficiency in deployment tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

  • Strong understanding of Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical aptitude for troubleshooting complex issues.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet project deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

  • Proven track record of implementing security measures and ensuring system reliability and scalability.
