Atlantic Health System Registered Dietitian - Corporate Health in Morristown, New Jersey
Summary: The Registered Dietitian position is responsible for providing dietetic programming in the corporate and community environments. Further, this team member will research and develop new nutrition programming. This position reports into the Employer-based Services Manager of Atlantic Corporate Health (ACH), Atlantic Health System along with the Executive Health Program Manager. General responsibilities include research, design, implementation, evaluation and oversite for all ACH nutrition programming. This along with the associated data management will support and contribute to the growth of ACH client account activities.
Essential Functions:
Assist team in new client outreach and department marketing, which may include attending events as the ACH representative
Assist with RFP/RFQ/RFI response as it pertains to dietetics/nutrition
Attend tabling, counseling, screenings, or other educational events at the employer locations
Collaborate with care team for continuity of care, including but not limited to EHP clinical team
Collaborate with the Speakers Bureau Coordinator to tailor content for specific audiences and events
Consult with onsite placement team for any nutrition or dietetic programming, as needed
Counsel a varied population including but not limited to: metabolic medicine, weight loss/weight gain, endocrinology, rheumatology, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, GI ailments, etc.
Create educational materials to complement presentations
Create treatment plans and follow-up care, develop meal plans, calculate nutritional requirements and make recommendations
Develop and deliver engaging in-person and/or virtual presentations educating on various health topics, including diabetes education and other dietetics/nutrition topics
Develop nutrition treatment plan that includes meal plans, supplements, healthy eating guides, and behavior modification
Implement interventions and education
Keep well-informed about emerging trends, latest developments, and best practices in dietetics/nutrition topics to ensure the most current and evidence-based information is presented
Maintain quality assurance and evaluates compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelines
Provide clinical nutrition assessment and documentation for corporate and community populations
Provide on-going education and serve as a resource to the health care team
Provide comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patient/client nutritional needs/readiness to learn/psychosocial-behavioral factors
Review dietary/exercise changes with client
Review patient lab work, body composition, Resting Metabolic Rate, and Spectracell results
Review, approve, and update all dietetic/nutrition content being developed to ensure alignment with departmental standards, accuracy of health information, and State/Federal regulations
Serve as a client advisor regarding employer-based health and wellness
Perform all other duties as assigned
Education— Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from an accredited program or related field, with a master’s preferred
Qualification—
Can lift up to 50 lbs.
Certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in the State of NJ, required
Coaching training, strongly preferred
Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships internally and externally
Exhibits strong communication skills with a problem-solving attitude
Holds a valid driver’s license and has means of transportation, required
Possesses competency with Microsoft Office suite of programs, required
Possesses skills and knowledge of Salesforce CRM, SurveyMonkey, EPIC, preferred
Thrives in a fast-based, deadline driven environment and is detail-oriented, exceptionally organized, can manage multiple tasks and projects
Experience—
5+ years of nutrition and dietetics patient care experience
2+ years of employee health and wellness programming and implementation experience
2+ years of corporate health and wellness
