POSITION SUMMARY

To provide daily oversight of Po placing, supplier relationships, spend visibility, process compliance, and transactional accuracy. Buyers also play an active role in process and system improvement within procurement and in collaboration with suppliers and internal customers as well as an important role in working directly with Sourcing Analyst and Strategic Sourcing Managers to meet objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders to internal and external suppliers.

  • Expedite and follow up on all open orders to ensure on-time deliveries.

  • Take corrective action for non-conforming materials. Process returns to suppliers.

  • Maintain proficiency in all relevant policies and procedures, including the ability to articulate and enforce policies and procedures.

  • Maintain operational focus with emphasis on customer service and day-to-day resolution of process and requisition-to-pay issues.

The Ideal Candidate

Desired Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in procurement, demand planning, logistics supporting a manufacturing site or distribution business model or experience. Experience in customer service is also considered.

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft 365 is valuable.

Knowledge, Skills & Talents

More specifically, we would seek the following attributes and competencies for the position:

  • +1 year of Purchasing clerk or analyst experience.

  • Skilled in MS Office and advanced Excel skills is a must.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, business process, and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to multitask, develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to enable better outcomes.
