Deli clerks will prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads and dessert items for the display case. They will also slice meats and cheeses for the case as well as prepare salads. Employee will package and price items for the customers to purchase. We offer lunch and dinner entrees, broasted chicken and take-and-bake pizzas. The ability to follow a recipe or a set of detailed instructions is required in all areas of the deli department. It is the deli clerk s responsibility to ensure the cleanliness of the deli case, storage areas and work area. We must keep a clean and sanitary department at all times, as well as keep all equipment clean and sanitary. The deli clerk position is to provide exceptional service and quality products to our customers. Focus and attention to detail are key in this work environment. Deli clerk employees will need to respond to customer inquiries, offer product recommendations and responding to requests professionally. The ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while still maintaining great customer service is key. The ability to work independently as well as within a large team is also essential. The position will be offered at either part-time or seasonal full-time status, based on applicant s availability and restrictions. Working several weekends will be required.
