Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will start each day with a toolbox/safety meeting and review the schedule. The primary responsibilities will include off-loading trailers and organizing freight in the warehouse, as well as loading trailers for outbound shipments. On average, you will handle about 10 loads per shift (or 20 trailers per day between the two shifts). Approximately 90% of your time will be spent operating sit-down electric forklifts, with the remainder dedicated to scanning products into our WMS (A1 proprietary system), documentation, organizing pallets, and other miscellaneous tasks. Pallets will need to be stacked up to 12 feet high and 4 feet across.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily toolbox/safety meetings and review schedules.

• Off-load trailers and organize freight in the warehouse.

• Load trailers with products for outbound shipments.

• Operate sit-down electric forklifts for the majority of the shift.

• Scan products into the WMS using the A1 system.

• Document shipments and maintain accurate records.

• Organize and straighten up pallets and perform miscellaneous tasks.

• Stack pallets up to 12 feet high and 4 feet across.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 6 months recent experience with sit-down forklifts.

• Experience with loading and unloading trucks.

• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

• Proficiency with RF scanners.

• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

• Experience with packing and handling bills of lading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with 3rd party forklift tracking/inventory systems.

• First Aid certification.

• Previous experience in similar environments such as MTE, Connect Logistics, Coca-Cola, etc.

Work Environment

The work will be conducted in a modern 240,000 sq ft warehouse that primarily handles beer and other alcoholic seltzers. There is no racking in the facility. The position is for the afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The work environment is dynamic and focused on maintaining a high standard of safety and organization.

The pay range for this position is $21.10 - $21.10
