Production Management:

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.

  • Coordinate with department supervisors to allocate resources effectively and optimize workflow.

Quality Assurance:

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production needs and minimize excess stock.

  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain accurate inventory records and facilitate timely replenishment of supplies.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide coaching and training to enhance employee skills and performance.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

  • Implement safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and investigate accidents or incidents to prevent recurrence.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements through data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Lead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, Six Sigma projects, and other improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability.

salary: $75,000 - $110,000 per year

Responsibilities

As the Operations Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations specializing in furniture making and woodworking in Nicholasville. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of furniture and woodwork products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within the manufacturing team.
