Job Description

Silicon Mobility, an Intel company, is a technology leader for cleaner, safer and smarter mobility. The company designs, develops and sells flexible, real-time, safe and open semiconductor solutions named FPCU (Field Programmable Control Unit) for the automotive industry used to increase energy efficiency and reduce pollutant emissions while keeping passengers safe.

The Company is opening a "Project Manager" position in its main Research and Development center ideally located in the Sophia-Antipolis Technology Park on the French Riviera.

The System and Software engineering team develops power control and energy management software for electric powertrain applications. As a member of the team, you will oversee the successful execution of the internal projects and ensure on time delivery of the software product releases and their compliance to Silicon Mobility's functional and safety requirements.

The accomplishment of this mission implies the agile management of development projects in an iterative manner:

  • Coordinating team members operationally, working closely with managers and technical leaders to ensure the good execution of the projects.

  • Ensuring detailed development, integration, and tests planning with tasks assignation and effort estimation are done in collaboration with the Software and System Managers and technical leaders.

  • Implementing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to track project execution and identify areas for improvement in collaboration with the Software and System Managers.

  • Managing projects risks and mitigating them with a preventive/corrective action plan in collaboration with the managers and technical leaders.

  • Monitoring, analyzing, and tracking the progress of the development, integration, and testing tasks during a sprint.

  • Facilitating communication within teams and with stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of objectives.

  • Ensuring administrative follow-up of the project, taking care of tasks such as organizing meetings and reports.

  • Resolving, proposing arbitration conflicts, and addressing obstacles impacting team performance with the team managers.

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders

  • Participating in change request management by analyzing their impact on the project planning and coordinating their implementation in collaboration with team leaders.

  • Providing regular project status updates to management

  • Ensuring that projects are completed within budget, scope, schedule, quality and standards compliancy (A-SPICE, ISO 9001, ISO26262, ISO 21434).

The position requires pro-active involvement with various internal teams (Engineering, Products, and Quality), Management, and external parties.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Master's degree in embedded software or system or mechatronics engineering

  • PMP certification would be appreciated.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years in project management in a similar domain.

  • A minimum of 4 years in embedded software or system engineering would be appreciated.

  • Leadership

  • Good experience of the automotive environment and constraints.

  • Solid technical understanding of products

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Fluent in English

  • French speaking is a plus.
