SAP Business Process Senior Consultant - Consolidations/Group Reporting in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania

Summary:

The main task of a Premium Hub COE - Business Process Consultant is to understand the new business models and translate these models into solutions according to the implementation plans, deployment plans, and timelines. Maximize the use of SAP Best Practices derived from best-run businesses in specific industries and geographies and maintain them as model companies for accelerated deployment. They enable and drive fast innovation consumption based on industry model solutions and agile implementation methods leveraging the SAP On-Prem and Cloud products.

A Business Process Consultant defines the overall technical or application solution. Therefore, deep technical or application architecture skills are required. Business Process Consultant drives architecture discussion with customers across all project work streams and aligns the technical or application aspects with other projects in the program. The candidate also brings expert knowledge of technical aspects or applications to the project. COE Business Process Consultant takes full responsibility for the quality of the delivered tasks and is accountable for the success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex customer issues related to group consolidation, data integration, data consistency, and reporting, collaborating with SAP Development and Product teams to resolve escalated technical issues and provide root cause analysis (RCA) with long-term solutions.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to SAP customers by guiding them on best practices for financial consolidation and reporting, optimizing SAP Group Reporting configurations and workflows, conducting workshops like fit/gap analysis and jump-start sessions, and delivering knowledge-sharing and technical training.

  • Analyze and improve the performance of consolidation processes, data models, and reports. Advise on process optimization and provide upgrades and migration guidance.

  • Assist in resolving data flow issues between SAP S/4 HANA Group Reporting, SAP S/4HANA (ACDOCA table), SAC, GRDC, and external systems; Support configuration of key consolidation processes (GRPL, Currency Translation, ICMR, intercompany eliminations, currency conversion, Consolidation of Investment), and provide guidance on Data Integration using Group Reporting APIs.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field.

  • Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in SAP BPC/RTC or SAP Group Reporting.

  • Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA for Group Reporting (design, configuration, and implementation) and debugging knowledge on ABAP and CDS Views.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 107,300 - 230,600 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
