Position Summary: Provide technical support for all areas of manufacturing. Perform predictive, preventive and breakdown maintenance, repair, and troubleshoot equipment and processes.

Position Duties:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment for a safe and productive work environment.

  • Provide sound technical support to ensure equipment is in a constant state of readiness.

  • Support production areas by performing predictive, preventative and breakdown maintenance, documenting procedures/processes, and training of associates.

  • Perform and document all results of maintenance on machines to maintain safety and increase uptime.

  • Review spare parts needs and maintain stock as necessary for 24-hour operation

  • Install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, piping and electrical systems

  • Understand blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring and testing instruments

  • Detect unusual sounds from machines or equipment that malfunction

  • Explain technical issues to facilitators, production and maintenance technicians to diagnose or repair machine

  • Dismantle defective equipment and machines and install new or repaired parts following specific specifications

  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery using rags, brushes, and grease gun

  • Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring and electronic components of machinery

  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment

  • Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment

  • Install machinery and equipment according to blueprints and other specifications

  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment, such as robots and/or programmable controllers

  • Set-up and operate machine tools, such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine

  • Repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools

  • Operate cutting torch and/or welding equipment

  • Utilize SAP where applicable

  • Support SFM (Shop Floor Management)

  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor or department manager

  • Understand and comply with ZFPS, TS16949, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, and OSHA requirements and all state and local applicable laws

  • Actively participate in Safety Activities and Investigations

  • Actively participate in meetings and training courses

  • Use PPE as required in specific work areas

  • Ability to train other associates in assigned work areas

  • Ability to communicate with associates, supervisors, technicians and managers

  • Basic computer skills

  • Complete required documentation and forms

  • May be required to work modified schedule to support customer requirements (ie: overtime, vacation coverage, off-shifts, 8 and/or 12 hour schedules, holidays, etc.

  • Perform other duties as related to this specific position

  • Comply with all Corporate, Regional, and local HR policies/guidelines, Group Directives and Group Procedures that are applicable to your position.

  • Adhere to Suspect Material and Containment Procedure (W150-04)

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous machine set-up experience

  • Ability to prioritize assigned tasks on a timely basis

  • Proficient computer skills (i.e. MS Office)

  • High School Diploma or GED
