• Fields maintenance request from shop employees and finds resolution in a timely manner
• Use of testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits from 24v - 480v ac/dc.
• Read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Performs monthly Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all equipment, schedule and assist with Crane PMs
• Have defective parts repaired or replace parts ordered as directed by the Plant Engineer
• Performs miscellaneous duties as needed
• Make sure tools and supplies are properly stored
• Monitor stock of miscellaneous supplies
• Monitor daily check off sheets (crane, forklift, etc.) and resolves issues as listed
• Fabricating guards, safety controls and other fixtures as needed
• As repairs/fixes are made explain to operators and Engineer what was done to equipment
• Performs miscellaneous duties as needed

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited school
• Two-year degree program or an apprenticeship in the millwright or maintenance mechanical/electrical field.
• Two years of experience as a maintenance mechanic working in Industrial Maintenance.
• Five or more years of work experience may be considered in lieu of education
• Must be at least 18 years of age, be willing to work at heights, work in extreme heat and cold
• Must be willing to be on call to answer operator questions
