Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Controller in the manufacturing industry, located near Wichita, Kansas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting functions and processes, including A/P and payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately

• Oversee the budget process within the manufacturing company, ensuring all financial objectives are met

• Manage the financial close process, ensuring all financial records are up to date and accurate

• Perform monthly account reconciliation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies

• Oversee bi-Monthly Payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time

• Manage inventory accounting and maintain effective inventory controls

• Utilize Oracle ERP and Microsoft Excel to streamline and enhance accounting processes

• Analyze and manage manufacturing variances, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.

Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Budget Processes in a Manufacturing Company environment

• Ability to handle Financial Close Process

• Experience in Monthly Account Reconciliation

• Familiarity with bi-Monthly Payroll processes

• Experience in Inventory Accounting, Inventory Controls, and Inventory forecasting

• Proficiency in Oracle ERP

• Understanding of Manufacturing Variance

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller role or similar within the manufacturing industry
