Winder Kitter Operator

Job Description

Aerotek is hiring a winder kitter operator for a production facility in Newport, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for operating equipment to produce graphite or fiberglass unidirectional prepreg (skins), then cutting the skins into 0/90 oriented kits of material for use as face sheet plies of honeycomb sandwich panels.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to produce graphite or fiberglass unidirectional prepreg (skins).
• Cut the skins into 0/90 oriented kits of material.
• Formulate each product following the steps outlined on the production work order.
• Complete each step of the work order and perform in-process quality checks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work history, with steady employment preferred
• Experience in manufacturing is a plus

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean manufacturing facility. The job includes weekend night shifts from Friday to Sunday (and every other Monday) 4pm-4am. Employees must follow all safety protocols and work under the supervision of the Winder Production Supervisor. This position pays $22/hr
