Ferguson is actively searching for a Senior Executive Assistant to directly support our Chief Legal Officer and our Chief Digital and Information Officer!

In this position, you will collaborate with a wide range of team members on behalf of the leaders; including Board of Directors, CEO, other C-suite leaders, shareholders and key external advisors. You will have a proactive and flexible mentality supporting a dynamic and fast-paced organization while managing multiple tasks and conflicting priorities, with accuracy, flexibility, and timeliness. You will comfortably take the lead on providing exceptional, comprehensive administrative leadership and operational support to the leaders both directly and indirectly.

Additionally, the Senior Executive Assistant will demonstrate a dedication to protecting confidential information and sensitive materials. Also, have the ability to handle multiple priorities, make decisions independently, be detail oriented, and prioritize work, requests, and engagements for the leaders.

This is a salary role, based at our Newport News, VA Headquarters.

This is an in-office position with an opportunity to work remote 1 or 2 days a week. That schedule will flex based on business needs and Executive schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality administrative support to the CLO and CDIO, anticipating needs and taking appropriate action to effectively manage daily responsibilities (e.g. calendar scheduling, administration, expense reports and travel support for both domestic and international) and be a creative problem solver.

  • Assist in drafting and sending internal communications on behalf of the executive leaders.

  • Participate as an active administrative team member, working both independently and in cooperation with other team members to complete projects and assignments in a timely manner.

  • Onboard new hires. This process includes requesting accounts and accesses as well as securing a laptop and staging the laptop for the new hire. In addition to locating and preparing an office space for the new hire and setting up the workspace appropriately.

  • Assist with the planning of key meetings (e.g. agenda preparation, logistics, meals, special guest arrangements, Teams for on-site and off-site events, etc.).

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and documents for key meetings and events.

  • Be an organized self-starter using good judgment and the flexibility to adapt to priority changes and demands.

  • Demonstrate strong logical thinking and computational skills.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Calendar Management

  • Travel planning and monitoring

  • Expense reporting

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in an office professional role including executive assistant experience.

  • High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS and the ability to learn new systems quickly, as needed.

  • Writing Executive level documents, memos and presentations using attention to detail and professional level of written and verbal communications skills.

  • Experience using good judgment and the flexibility to adapt to priority changes and demands.

  • Exposure to networking in a global environment and effectively demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of management.

  • Handling multiple priorities from multiple sources with ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines effectively.

  • This position requires the ability to build strong working relationships with diverse groups and work independently as well.

Pay Range:

$23.86 - $38.17

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
