The Role
The candidates will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairing of mechanical tools, air tools, pump and hydraulic equipment. The ability to climb ladders, work at heights, lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and work in confined spaces may be required. Should be able to work any shift.
Specific to this position:
The selected candidate will repair and maintain critical equipment and systems, which provide plant services, on a variety of equipment. This will include low and high pressure steam system, river water system, air compressors, demineralized water systems, calibration and preventive maintenance. The person should be a team player, highly motivated and work with minimal supervision. This position requires working day shift. Basic knowledge of plant operations, pipefitting, and troubleshooting control systems are a plus. Candidate should have a solid understanding, pumps, motors, boiler maintenance, boiler auxiliary systems, compressors and demineralized water systems. Knowledge of the basic steam cycle, water chemistry, automated boiler control systems, HP and LP Air systems, River water systems and burner management systems is a plus.

Nice to Have
Ability to read and interpret basic blue prints and technical specifications and/or equipment repair manuals.
Candidate should have a solid understanding of the basic steam cycle, water chemistry, automated boiler control systems, burner management systems, pumps, boiler auxiliary systems, compressors and generation of demineralized water.
Be able to utilize basic hand tools, power tools, and precision tools
5 years of trade experience is required, 8+ years is preferred
High School graduate or equivalent preferred
Previous military experience with boiler maintenance and repair and associated systems is a plus
Experience repairing and maintaining 600 psi and above marine type boilers is preferred
Experience in repairing and maintaining centrifugal pump systems
Experience in repairing and maintaining gearboxes and drive trains
Previous millwright experience
