Description

We are offering an employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Newport Beach, California. This role is primarily in the accounting industry and involves interacting with staff, board of directors, and members. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, month-end closing, and payroll processing for employees, utilizing QuickBooks and a member management system.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire bookkeeping process

• Conduct account reconciliation and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner

• Manage month-end close procedures and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Regularly interact and communicate with staff, board of directors, and members to address any financial concerns and queries

• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and data entry

• Work with a member management system to maintain member records and transactions

• Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payroll regulations

• Perform other duties related to bookkeeping and financial management as needed

• Continually review and improve financial processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Proven experience with Bookkeeping

• Proficiency in Data Entry

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of Payroll processes and systems

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
