This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Licensed Practical Nurse - 3rd shift will perform routine occupational health care activities, including health and wellness training and education, employee health services and compliance.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist with occupational health programs.

• In accordance with established procedures, conduct our safety and ergonomic training and administer the basics of drug and alcohol programs.

• Plan and implement compliance improvement projects and their deliverables.

• Under general supervision of a registered nurse, treat, evaluate and assess employee illness or injury to ascertain medical direction.

• Help develop, formulate and implement plans of care based on standing orders and medical directives.

• Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent

• Licensed practical nurse or vocational nurse or equivalent in other geographies

• Minimum of two years of related work experience

• Willing and able to work on a 3rd shift schedule

• Able to work with different departments and work on a team setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a BLS (Basic Life Support) / CPR certification

Position information

• Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.

• The position is a 3rd shift schedule M-F, we have the following options: 10:00 am to 6:30 am / 10:30 pm to 7:00 am / 12:00 pm to 8:30 am. Occasional weekends and telephone triage.

• Shift differential of 1,25 per flat rate.
