Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Reviewing and understanding contract plans and specifications - Prepare calculations and drawings for precast products - Work with Engineering Manager and Drafting Technicians in support of sales and production targets and schedules - Support installation of engineered building structures and bridge products - Work on various engineering projects in support of sales as well as continuous improvements in manufacturing, process, shipping, handling and installation - Work with the Quality Control Department to ensure precast products are manufactured in accordance with Knife River Quality Control Program and Precast Concrete Institute (PCI) standards - Understand, use, and maintain/update department standards - Perform quality control reviews on internal and external drawings and calculations - Manage communication and planning between external design consultants and internal Project Managers - Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed - Other duties assigned as needed Hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but may vary depending on work-load. Work from home options may be available.
