Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Accounting Assistant in Newburyport, Massachusetts. This role is primarily focused on managing customer credit applications and records within the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of customer credit information

• Resolve customer inquiries related to credit applications and records

• Monitor customer credit accounts to identify any irregularities or issues

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments from customers

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for data management and reporting

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) as per company guidelines

• Perform various accounting functions and billing tasks as needed

• Ensure accurate cash activity recording and order entry

• Manage cash applications in accordance with company standards. Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions and Cash Activity

• Ability to manage Order Entry and Cash Applications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
