Description

We are looking for a diligent Tax Associate to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing tax-related matters across different jurisdictions and ensuring the accuracy and transparency of tax reporting. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the transition and consolidation of payroll tax matters across various jurisdictions.

• Address outstanding tax issues, close old jurisdictions, and establish new ones.

• Collaborate closely with relevant teams to design and implement a process for clear and transparent reporting.

• Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, or Ceridian

• Perform various accounting functions and handle allowances.

• Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to and resolving customer inquiries.

• Conduct precise data entry tasks and maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions

• Customer Service skills

• Data Entry skills

• Knowledge of Deductible calculations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferable.
