Job Summary

​​​​​​The Performance Measurement Sr Analyst will provide analytical and functional support for the governance of the balanced scorecard related initiatives, analytics, relationships, benchmarking, diagnostics, and process adherence. Proactively interfaces with all subject matter experts and process owners for developing performance measurement frameworks, which includes defining performance KPIs, goals, and customer needs. Should possess a personal sense of excellence and dependability in ensuring the complete, accurate, and on time reporting of all assigned analysis projects. Also possess strong analytic skills and the ability to work with large data sets. This role analyzes and reports on key reliability metrics and measures through the collection, summarizing, and analysis of operational, non-operational, and financial data. Supports process documentation efforts. Proactively identifies and supports the implementation of process improvements in support of process excellence. Assists in the implementation of new tools and technologies using process improvement tools and techniques.

In-office expectation - at least 6x a month

Job Responsibilities

Typical roles and responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Perform business and data analytics, Reviews data for accuracy and integrity, conducts data analysis to identify trends, develops reports, and dashboards to meet the needs of the operating areas and leadership in support of the PSEG and PSE&G scorecard and benchmarking. Develop and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate and enhance the efficiency of the company’s ongoing operations. Introduce data visualization, project management, and post-implementation support to the ongoing projects. Complete assigned reports or as requested performance reports to the management team. Gather, link, and prepare scorecard metric data from diverse sources for identified metric drivers, correlations, and performance gaps. Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and data visualization files. Support the benchmarking efforts, target setting, and goal development process. Requires an ability to develop strong client relationships at all levels within the Line of Business. Interface personally with leadership, process owners, and management to support, obtain and act on feedback for all elements of the balanced scorecard process. Attend the multi-level operational meetings at various site locations.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Business /Computer Science/ Economics/ Mathematics or related field with a heavy quantitative emphasis

  • 2+ years of business analysis / professional experience working with large data sets

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge and experience of analysis, reporting and time management skills

  • Demonstrates analytical ability with a proven experience to synthesize data and produce meaningful results that can be used for decision making or policy/procedure enhancement

  • Strong planning and organizational skills to be adaptable, results oriented and develop client relationship skills.

  • Requires minimum direction from leads

  • Experienced with MS Office Products - Access, Word and PowerPoint and using advanced Excel features

  • Experienced / working knowledge of SAP, DWMS, CMMS, or SQL

  • Organizational awareness and an overall operating knowledge of utility sector operations and processes

  • Driver's License

Desired:

  • MBA or progress towards one

  • Experience in utility sector, regulatory compliance or related areas

  • Database development or programming with Tableau and Power BI data visualization

  • Demonstrated Lean Six Sigma experience

  • Strong knowledge and experience of SQL and relational databases

  • Strong knowledge and experience in benchmarking
