The Senior Actuarial Associate will assist Prophet implementation initiatives for our Emerging Markets and ALM modeling in GGY AXIS for our US businesses. This may include supporting various LDTI & IFRS17 Prophet modeling projects and various AAT, PBR, Capital Management GGY AXIS modeling projects.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Works collaboratively with business partners throughout the Prudential organization and local operations to develop and maintain highly automated production process for those partners.
Assist and build Prophet modeling initiatives for international operations with local specific product features and regulatory needs in each jurisdiction.
Work on Prophet model development, validation, and documentation of liability cash flow generation for IFRS 17 (International Financial Reporting Standard), USGAAP LDTI (Long Duration Targeted Improvements) and other frameworks for various PII jurisdictions.
Serves as a resource in implementing and validating ALM modeling changes in support of Asset Adequacy Testing, capital, PBR, GAAP modeling, and other ALM related purposes. This mainly involves development of AXIS modeling and in-house solutions that are primarily based on Python & SQL.
Partners closely with others on the Governance, Technology, and Valuation teams to ensure adherence to appropriate corporate governance, controls, and documentation policies/procedures.
What youll need:
Degree in Actuarial Science, mathematics, finance, computer science or other quantitative related fields are preferred
2+ years of actuarial modeling experience preferably in an insurance company
ASA progression preferred
Technical skills with programming experience in either Prophet (or similar open-source model) or GGY AXIS and SQL or SAS; experience in Python and C# a plus
Quantitative and analytics skills, including the ability to understand concepts and assess situations in a timely manner
Self-motivated individual
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong Microsoft Excel/Word/Access/PowerPoint skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables
