Prudential International Insurance (PII) continues to be one of Prudential's fastest growing and most profitable business groups. The Regional Office of India, Indonesia and Africa is part of PIIs Emerging Market business. The team oversees the business, operation and strategic relationship with Prudentials Joint Venture and strategic investment entities in the region.
As a member of the Emerging Markets team, the Manager, Strategic Initiatives will support effective management of the regional business, including providing analysis and insights to the operations and business of the Joint Venture and strategic investments, support oversight of the entities business health, as well as supporting senior executive in board engagement and duties.
Additional Responsibilities include:
Aid critical decision making by Pru as shareholders, including various projects on shareholder alignment, capital deployment initiatives, and JV/strategic investments strategy, business and board reviews
Assist in building and strengthening the institutional knowledge base of the region for PII
Provide research on market insights of the countries, including macro/sector updates, regulatory changes, peer strategy, performance and M&A activities
Support efforts to nurture and improve relationships with the JV entities and strategic investments at various levels to strengthen PIIs standing with the companies
Coordinate with PII EM team and functions as necessary to ensure right level of engagement and collaboration on the agreed initiatives
What youll need:
Bachelors degree required; MBA and / or CFA preferred
5+ years with relevant experience in business management, corporate strategy, management consulting or finance roles in the Financial Services or Insurance industry
Experience in financial analysis, strategy, dashboarding and research
Excellent analytic skills, critical thinking and pragmatic problem-solving capabilities
Strong communications (both written and verbal in the English language) and ability to build partnership within Prudential and the countries
Excellent data management and Microsoft suite skill set
English language proficiency (both written and verbal) required

The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
