Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participates in the design of construction, rehabilitation, and/or alteration of structures, f acilities, equipment, and/or other rail infrastructure systems.

• Conducts field surveys to collect data and facilitate the timely completion of engineering projects.

• Estimates material quantities and other resources needs to produce project and departmental schedules and accurate cost estimates, including project resources.

• Reviews and checks drawings prepared by in-house drafting personnel. Able to produce MicroStation drawings for various rehabilitation projects based on department needs.

• Good communication skills required in order to transfer field-gathered information and transfer this to repair drawings that are complete and understandable to engineering and construction personnel.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering discipline or equivalent.
