What you will do
The Corporate Credit team is seeking a bright and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Investment Vice President. The Corporate Credit team supports all of PGIM Real Estates capital sources and is responsible for analyzing and opining on the creditworthiness of sponsors, tenants, and borrowers of mortgage loans, as well as unsecured REIT and REOC private placements. The successful candidate would play an important and integral role on the team.
The Investment Vice President, Corporate Credit will benefit from a broad exposure to many aspects of our business; highlights include:
Further development of strong credit, underwriting, and financial statement analysis.
Exposure to various commercial property types (multifamily, industrial, retail, office, hotel) and REIT/REOC investments.
Exposure to a wide range of industries and markets across the United States.
Development of modeling and analytical skills.
Direct interaction with senior members of the team, senior management, clients, and co-investors.
What you can expect
Provide superior analytical support to senior member of the team on a wide variety of assignments, including financial statement modeling, industry research, monitoring portfolio credits, and assisting in special projects as necessary.
Assist with all aspects of the corporate credit underwriting process, including spreading financial statements, review of the financial statement footnotes, reviewing supplemental information, reviewing covenant packages, researching industries, comparable company analysis, analysis of the risks and mitigating factors of potential investments, various due-diligence, and preparation of credit memos.
Engage in all aspects of the unsecured loan origination process including loan underwriting, presentation to senior management, pricing strategy, due diligence review and loan documentation negotiation and closing.
Monitor covenants and provide servicing support on managing the unsecured REIT/REOC portfolio.
Assist with general account portfolio research requests/projects.
Interact professionally with loan origination personnel, portfolio managers and externally with borrowers, rating agencies and other investors.
What you will bring
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial related role, with at least 5 plus years in corporate lending, required
Bachelors degree, required.
Strong quantitative skills and established analytical ability.
Excellent communication, team-work and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work both independently and as an integral member of a deal team.
Prior experience in the finance field is required.
What will set you apart?
A concentration/major in Mathematics or Finance or related field is preferred.
Transactions/origination experience preferred.
MBA preferred, but candidate with additional lending or origination experience will be given similar consideration.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary range for this role is from $150,000 to $170,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. This role is also eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits including a competitive, discretionary annual cash bonus opportunity along with long term incentive awards. Eligibility to participate in the discretionary annual incentive programs are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance
