Posting Summary | The Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is recruiting an Interventional Radiologist. We are seeking a candidate at the Assistant Professor level or higher to join our dynamic and evolving division; new graduates are also encouraged to apply. The position will offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits. The Division of Interventional Radiology is primarily based at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. We also provide services to a community hospital in East Orange, NJ. Interventional Radiology is a full clinical service with an inpatient consult service and an outpatient clinic. We are staffed with 5 full time Faculty and 2 Physician Assistants. We have several busy service lines such as interventional oncology (Y90, TACE, Ablation), hepatobiliary interventions, venous thromboembolism, peripheral arterial disease, dialysis access, Level 1 trauma interventions, women's and men's health, MSK interventions to mention a few. The successful applicant will be fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology, must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, and must be ABR eligible or certified in IR/DR. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the practice of interventional radiology and will help us with the continued expansion of our service lines. Ability to obtain Y90 Authorized User status is required and experience with peripheral artery disease treatment is preferred. Scholarly activity is encouraged. The Department of Radiology has 28 clinical and research faculty members, and 18 diagnostic radiology residents who provide patient care for all the major divisions of contemporary imaging. We have up to two Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) positions for residents each year. There are abundant opportunities for research and resident/student mentorship. We take care of a diverse patient population with a wide variety of interesting cases. University Hospital is a Liver Transplant Center and Level 1 Trauma Center.
