Description We are in search of a Bilingual Human Resources Specialist to join our team based in Newark, New Jersey. This role is pivotal in providing HR support to 150 employees, 110 of whom are part of a union, within the manufacturing industry. The incumbent will be responsible for various HR functions such as employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and training initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring fluent proficiency in Spanish to communicate effectively with employees

• Using skills and experience in HR to handle employee relations matters, including investigations and claims

• Administering benefits and ensuring compliance with regulations

• Leveraging manufacturing industry knowledge to better understand and cater to the needs of the employees

• Reporting directly to the President and Controller, exhibiting autonomy and responsibility

• Implementing training initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulations, knowledge of OSHA is a plus

• Maintaining accurate records of employee attendance and paid time off

• Using ADP for payroll and benefits administration

• Managing standalone role with direct reporting to the President and Controller

• Handling employee relations matters, including investigations and claims Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now is required.

• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is necessary.

• Experience with About Time software is a plus.

• Must have expertise in Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration.

• A strong understanding of Compliance regulations in the HR field is required.

• Must have the ability to manage Employee Relations effectively.
