Your Team & Role
As a Technical Product Owner on the Platform Enablement Journey for USB Technology, you will partner with other product owners, tech leads, feature teams, solutions architects, and engineers to improve and modernize the infrastructure that supports the organizations strategic administration platform.
This is a highly visible platform that supports our U.S. Life, Retirement Strategies, and Institutional business administration functions. The strategic administration platform is a critical component to our success as it supports our current business and our goals and objectives of growing our businesses. As a seasoned technical leader, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong technical insight, an inclusive leadership attitude, as well as a drive for continuous learning.
This is a multi-faceted role with responsibility for executing on the strategy and developing a roadmap for a successful implementation of our strategic architecture. The Technical Product Owner will lead discussions around options and trade-offs, make decisions that reduce impact to our current business. Along with providing direction and leadership to the teams, you will be expected to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact across our U.S. business lines.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
Execute on the platforms strategic vision, providing constant feedback to the team and helping to set and drive toward the vision
Collaborate with the CPO, SAEs, and team members to define the backlog that supports the revamped technical design
Partner with BTO Feature teams to prioritize requirements that support the existing business, while managing the goals of transitioning to a strategic platform
Understand the system end-to-end and deliver robust solutions that bring about business impactand support the goals.
Partner with the vendor on infrastructure design and alignment sessions
Lead the implementation of cloud architecture development leveraging the enterprise tools and standards
Implement automated DevOps enhancements to streamline deployments
Bring a strong understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, provide input and coach team members and embed learning and innovation in the day-to-day
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering; or experience in related fields
Proven ability to lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization
Strong belief in a non-hierarchal structure of collaboration, transparency and trust
Experience with raising issues up/down the organization and resolution handling
Ability to find creative solutions and drive out of the box ideas
Knowledge of full software development life cycle (SDLC)
Prior hands-on experience with modernized cloud technologies
Proven ability to execute and deliver results with a prior re-architecture project
Experience in working with DevOps automation tools & practices
Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches to effectively lead the team
Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills; enjoy learning new skills.
Knowledge of
Cloud Computing:Understanding and knowledge AWS, Azure or GCP
Programming Languages: Python, Java or JavaScript
Frameworks: React, Springboot, Node.js
Data Store: NoSQL or Relational Data structures
Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $160,700.00 to $217,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
