Job Title: Boiler Operator

Job Description

The Boiler Operator will be responsible for the visual safety inspection of the area, documentation of pressure & temperature, and logging readings in a log book. You will visit different sites on campus, inspect worksites for potential problems, and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual safety inspections of the boiler area.

• Document pressure and temperature readings.

• Record data in log books and log sheets in the boiler room.

• Inspect worksite for any potential problems.

• Provide customer service while visiting different sites on campus.

Essential Skills

• Experience in logging readings in a log book.

• Ability to monitor boiler functions.

• Perform maintenance on boilers.

• Mechanical skills.

• Preventive maintenance experience.

• NJ Blue Seal license or NJ Black Seal High pressure license.

• Boiler maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Customer service experience.

• Experience with compressors.

Work Environment

This position is located at a multi-city university that never closes. Employees of the facility department are considered essential and must ensure the university remains operational at all times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, New Jersey.
