Position Summary:  

An OTG Badging Coordinator at EWR Airport is responsible for overseeing and administering the Custody, Control, and Accountability of our CM's Badges.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Schedules all Security classes for newly hired crewmembers, Managers, and Executives. 

  • Provides oral and written instructions to newly hired crewmembers regarding Security Identification Display Areas (SIDA) and fingerprinting process, including personal identification requirements  

  • Responsible for handling the daily collection and distribution of Port Authority issued IDs to company personal .  

  • Responsible for visually inspecting IDs and if there are any discrepancies immediately notify the Badge Coordinator or Manager.  

  • Maintain order of the badges to ensure a fast collection and distribution.  

  • Work various shifts and weekends.  

  • Ensure work area is always clear and accessible to Crewmembers. 

  • Communicates clearly to each newly hired crewmember regarding the steps required on the Port Authority fingerprinting application  

  • Travels to the Port Authority Administration Building for Issuing Officer related duties required  

  • Records and maintains accurate badge data for the airport authority daily, weekly, monthly, and or quarterly audits  

  • Ensures that all OTG-issued security badges are returned to the Port Authority at the point a crewmember resigns or is involuntarily terminated  

  • Responds to all Port Authority notifications regarding (BOR) Breach of Rules/Violation for OTG crewmembers  

  • Acts as a liaison between OTG Management and the airport authority stakeholders regarding security-related policies and procedures 

  • Tracks and communicates the progression of newly hired crewmembers and managers through the badging process and reporting their status to the Management team on a weekly basis. 

  • Communicates "badge ready" notifications to all Managers and TLs, and prepares "badge ready" letters  

  • Notifies HR of issues and expiration dates of all new badges to ensure tracking data in HRB  

    Qualifications and Requirements:  

  • Airport experience a plus 

  • Process oriented  

  • System execution 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills 

  • Extremely detail-oriented 

  • 1 plus year's experience in administrative duties 

  • Able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment  

  • Sound decision-making skills  

  • The ability to plan and prioritize  

  • Excellent follow-up and tracking skills  

  • Excellent MS Excel skills 

  • Impeccable internal and external customer services skills 

  • Must be able to work varied hours/days, nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather conditions  

    Preferred Experience:  

  • Law enforcement background
