JPMorgan Chase Firmwide Finance Business Architecture -Product Owner/Data Engineer - Associate Newark, Delaware

The Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA) is accountable for leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and business process change management events and the Chief Data Office for Finance and Treasury & Chief Investment Office (TCIO). The team also provides a centralized program management and business analysis capability, targeted program governance, and consistent application of program management standards including system testing and change management practices, with a current focus on overseeing the Data Acquisition framework for strategic and legacy Finance, TCIO, and Wholesale Credit Risk platforms.

As a Product Owner/Data Engineer Associate, within the Business Architecture Core Services Team, you will partner with users and technology delivering within an agile framework responsible for managing the prioritized backlog to ensure the team is always maximizing delivery value against the firm's goals.

The Business Architecture Core Services Team within FFBA is at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge applications and tools that drive data management, controls, data modeling and aggregation, analytics, and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • design and build user-facing data analytics tools, with strong skills in SQL, Excel, and data interaction.

  • Utilize Agile delivery methodologies, including JIRA and Confluence, is preferred.

  • communicate effectively with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences and build strong relationships.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in Data Modelling, Reporting Automation, Dashboarding, and experience with data wrangling tools like Alteryx is a plus.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in user-facing product ownership, ideally within financial services and/or regulatory reporting, with a strong foundation in both technical and business domains.

  • Proven track record in designing and building user-centric data analytics tools, adept at managing large data volumes across diverse products.

  • Ability to swiftly assimilate both business and technical knowledge, juggling multiple work streams with tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in desktop tools (e.g., Excel) and data interaction, including SQL querying, to support both technical and business analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, leveraging collaboration and influencing skills to drive decision-making across technical and business stakeholders.

  • In-depth knowledge of data and business intelligence concepts, including ETL, Data Modeling, and Reporting Automation, with a focus on practical application.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and highly responsible, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills that integrate technical and business insights.

  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple work streams and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across teams and levels within the organization.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience in Agile delivery methodologies, including JIRA and Confluence, to manage both technical and functional project aspects.

  • Deep knowledge and experience with a variety of banking products, such as Loans, Deposits, Cash, Derivatives, and Securities, from both a technical and business perspective.

  • Experience with UI/UX design and implementation, enhancing user interaction and experience by integrating technical functionality with user needs.

  • Hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like AWS, and Databricks, leveraging these to elevate product capabilities and insights.
