City National Bank Technical Sales Consultant - Receivables in New York

TECHNICAL SALES CONSULTANT - RECEIVABLES

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Supports the sale and implementation of selected technical or complex products, services, and solutions. Responsible for displaying a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of City National Bank’s products and services and how they integrate into our client’s receivable back-office operations. The Receivables SME establishes trust between our client’s needs and our company's technical solutions, along with covering all technical objections and concerns bought forth. The Receivables SME would be responsible for “discovery” discussions with client/prospect/partnering team, either in person or via conference call. Additional responsibilities would include creating and delivering strategic client presentations, proposals, and demonstrations, provide pricing recommendations and implementation support, along with sales team training of new/recent enhancements of receivable services. Partnership with product managers to help communicate gaps and competitive intelligence.

What you will do

  • Leads holistic sales discussion around all receivable’s solutions of City National Bank (e.g. Wholesale Lbx, E-Deposit, Merchant Services, Cash Vault).

  • Supports the sale and implementation of selected digital receivables platforms.

  • Partners with Elavon to discuss merchant opportunities for the online treasury platform.

  • Assesses revenue opportunities for fee Merchant services that will be managed by Treasury to ensure ROI for digital receivables platforms (e.g. partners with Elavon to review program rules, service & convenience fees, and surcharge regulations).

  • Works closely with Product managers and selected vendors in the setup, features, functionality, and capabilities for digital receivables platform.

  • Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).

  • Champion Elavon solutions throughout the bank, and lead in growing revenue share from Merchant Card Processing.

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 6 years of cash management sales experience in a financial services environment required.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing/supporting medium to large account relationships required

Skills and Knowledge

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a discipline directly related to the duties of the position or equivalent work experience.

  • Knowledge of sales techniques and principles to effectively market treasury management services.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

  • Ability to gather, arranges, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to identify sales opportunities and formulate conclusions and recommended actions.

  • Ability to set priorities, objectives and goals.

Compensation

Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
