The Role :

Reporting to the VP of Group Benefits B2C Marketing, the Segment Marketing Director will be responsible for driving growth and profitability targets for the Group Employee Marketing Federal segment and creating a clear vision and strategy (where to play/how to win), defining concrete objectives, and driving the execution.

The role will be responsible for understanding the needs, preferences, and behaviors of our customers and prospects, and creating compelling value propositions, messaging, and campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion. As a segment marketing director, you will work closely with the Sales, Product, and Marketing Operations, CX, and Insights teams to identify and prioritize market opportunities, develop go-to-market plans, and measure and optimize the impact of your initiatives.

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional who can inspire others as we continue to further nurture our relationships with end customers. The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for creativity and be a generator of dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.

Achieving results in this role will require the incumbent to be an innovative marketer with strong relationship skills to work cross-functionally with a broad range of stakeholders within Product Marketing, CX, Servicing and Marketing Operations, among others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing plans to support business objectives and key results.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to segment our customer base and identify key personas, pain points, and buying criteria.

  • Owns development marketing strategy and drives alignment with stakeholders on execution timeline

  • Develop and maintain segment-specific value propositions, messaging, and positioning that resonate with our target audiences and differentiate us from competitors,

  • Optimize marketing strategy by tracking, measuring, and reporting on the performance and ROI of your segment marketing activities and optimize them based on data and feedback.

  • Stay updated on the latest market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence and share them with the relevant stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with product and marketing operation teams to develop and execute marketing plans, analyze results, and identify opportunities

  • Accountable for overseeing the budget ensuring that all campaigns and communications development are managed efficiently.

  • Manage agile teams based on key product priorities.

  • Provide strategic leadership to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.

Key Relationships:

  • Reports to: VP, US B2C/DTC Marketing

  • Direct reports/team : Segment Marketing Manager

  • Key Stakeholders : Distribution Lead, Activation Lead, Marketing Operations, Product Management, creative teams

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience managing marketing programs and campaigns

  • Experience creating marketing plans that are tied to measurable results.

  • Strong influencer skillset across a broad spectrum of stakeholders and an ability to lead, delegate to, manage, and motivate a team of talented professionals

  • Strategic thinker with the ability and the skill set to see the bigger picture as well as understand the details of campaigns

  • Strong strategic and analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively

  • Strong management and leadership skills

· Previous experience working in an agile operating model is a plus.

  • Strong process management skills with the ability to self-motivate and prioritize efforts among multiple projects

The salary range for applicants for this position is $123,800 - $165,000.
