Robert Half Working Capital Controller in New York, New York
Description
We are seeking a Legal Billing Manager to join our team in the bustling city of New York in our legal firm. This role revolves around supporting the billing process, maintaining a holistic understanding of the working capital position, and acting as a trusted business advisor.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications
• Maintain and uphold department standards and preserve the integrity of established revenue accounting controls
• Conduct final review of invoices before dispatching to partners, ensuring all details are correct
• Provide support to the cash allocations team and oversee client money balances
• Act as a trusted business advisor to assigned partners and other fee earners, providing them with necessary materials for client meetings
• Assist in the review and management of working capital lock-up days, monitoring for trigger points where write offs occur to ensure early attention and counteraction
• Review client/matter working capital balances, taking ownership of reporting on and escalating matters that are aging or where we have increasing client exposure
• Regularly review unbilled disbursements balances and disbursements written off on a monthly basis
• Maintain meticulous files for all associated billing, collections, and client money related backup materials
• Respond to requests for reporting in support of different teams and activities as required.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is a must
• Experience with Concur is necessary
• Ability to work with CRM is essential
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is indispensable
• Proficiency in using 'About Time' is required
• Understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary
• Mastery of Accounts Payable (AP) is essential
• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Experience in Auditing is a must
