Collaborating closely with our newsrooms and strategic partners, we spearhead the development of groundbreaking products and technologies. About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Product and Design, you will lead a team of product managers and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver timely, high-quality, and accessible platform products while scaling operations efficiently. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that we adapt quickly to user needs, create new data-driven offerings, and maintain operational excellence across both B2B and B2C environments.
You Will:
Strategic Leadership: Bring platform thinking to the wider team and stakeholders. Develop platform strategies that foster scalability and performance; supporting current and future business needs. Drive organizational change to align with platform product best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Product Leads, Senior Leaders and GMs across Engineering, Design, Marketing, and business and editorial teams to develop a product platform vision, strategy and roadmap based on their needs, prioritizing platform products that drive growth - both from a monetization and audience growth perspective.
Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform product roadmap decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
You Have:
A proven track record of success in platform product management or related roles, with at least 15+ years of product management experience with 7+ years in subscription-based businesses.
Experience creating seamless experiences working across platforms and formats such as web, iOS and Android and text, audio and video; understanding of machine learning a bonus.
Experience working in highly technical domains, and able to engage directly with Engineering on key engineering decisions that have long term impact on broad products roadmaps
Proven experience of taking accountability and ownership of large problems
Proven experience of assessing problems and providing clear frameworks to work through challenging problems
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making and measure success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Pay Range: $245,000 - $295,000
