The anticipated salary range for this role is between $125,000.00 and $165,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Job Summary

While being an integral member of SMBC Americas Division (AD)'s Talent Management & Development CoE, this role serves as TM consultant to SMBC MANUBANK. In addition to the consultancy role, this role is responsible for the execution of all elements of the Talent Management cycle (Performance Management, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, Employee Value Proposition, Development Planning, Internal Mobility, and Promotion) across the Americas to offer a holistic Talent Management experience that will scale up during business growth and align our talent strategy to the business strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

The job responsibilities are described herein:

  • Responsible for Talent Management portfolio execution & delivery across Americas including project planning, tracking & management, content and communications development and consulting of various stakeholders across the bank.

  • Help to continiously enhance existing talent management solutions and facilitate talent management processes.

  • Ensure Talent Management portfolio and solutions enhance business culture and support the bank's brand, values and culture and employee value proposition.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess talent needs and determine the best way to design, develop and deliver processes

  • Independently plan and execute TM related projects and processes

  • Develop, track, report and maintain related statistics and metrics

  • Create content including, job aids, process descriptions and tool user guides

  • Remain current about external trends and best practices in talent management and integrate this knowledge into deliverables

  • Audit control responsibilities

  • Serve as back-up for other team members

Critical Job Knowledge and Core Competencies/Skills

  • Contribute solid experience in building & execution of talent management solutions and processes. Able to serve as strong facilitator and communicator of our TM portfolio. Project manage end-to-end effectively. Creates effective communications, materials for manger and employees that helped implement our TM portfolio and delivers briefings on TM processes and topics to HR and Business. In addition to supporting SMBC AD Talent Management, run the yearly talent management cycle at SMBC MANUBANK.

Role Objectives: Expertise

  • Work Experience: 7 to 10 years of specialized experience. Experience with designing, building and implementing talent management processes and tools like performance management, succession planning, development planning, promotion, employee engagement and talent review. Strong project management and analytics skills. HR/TM consultancy experience in similar KAM role. Effective communicator. Experience working in cross-cultural environment.

  • Required Education: BA / BS

  • Preferred Education: MA / MS / MBA in adult education

  • Business fluency in the following language(s): English

  • Software Systems / Programming Languages: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, SuccessFactors knowledge and experience preferred; knowledge of WebEx or equivalent systems

  • Percentage of Travel Required: 0-10%
