ManpowerGroup Technology Specialist - Low Latency Engineering in New York, New York

Role: Technology Specialist - Low Latency Engineering, Python code exp.

Locations: NYC, NY -10013 OR IRVING, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Position type: 10 months with high possibility of extension/Conversion as FTE

Job description:

The ideal candidate will understand markets technology and related transactional and market data protocols, including for example FIX (Financial Information Exchange protocol, Market Data) as well as basic networking concepts including the OSI model and associated protocols.

• Proficiency in basic scripting languages such as Python is required for data extraction and manipulation tasks. The successful candidate must be able to utilize scripting languages such as Python to programmatically extract and manipulate data for analysis via various visualization tools making complex trading and telemetry information accessible and engaging.

• Working knowledge of various time series database, for example KBD, Grafana.

• Must be able to track and analyze key performance metrics for trade flow and its effectiveness across the trade execution stack, making data-driven recommendations for optimization and enhancements within the infrastructure. Understanding of Corvil analytics tools is a huge plus.

• Must stay updated on advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) concepts and technologies, integrating these insights into trading strategies and initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production/trade support and technology partners to align analytics efforts with business objectives.

• Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
