Robert Half Systems Administrator in New York, New York

Description We are in search of a Systems Administrator to join our team in NEW YORK, New York. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Systems Administrator, you will be tasked with managing and troubleshooting hardware issues, administering collaboration tools, ensuring the security of our systems, and supporting meeting conferencing, AV, and VoIP systems.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot hardware issues and ensure efficient operation of all systems.

• Administer and manage collaboration tools to ensure effective team communication.

• Oversee Active Directory/Office 365 administration, including the use of IAM tools such as Okta.

• Implement and manage security tools such as MDM, endpoint protection, internet security, endpoint encryption, patch management, VPN, events logging, and anti-phishing/spam techniques to safeguard our systems.

• Support meeting conferencing, AV, and VoIP systems to facilitate smooth communication.

• Maintain current technical knowledge of protocols, operating systems, and standards, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and other productivity tools.

• Provide technical support for software applications including Mac OS and Jamf Pro.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and secure operations.

• Assist in the development and implementation of system enhancements.

• Address and resolve system-related inquiries and issues in a timely manner. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience as a Systems Administrator

• Proficiency in Mac OS is necessary for this role

• Experience with Jamf Pro is a crucial requirement

• Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently

• Proven track record in maintaining and troubleshooting systems

• Experience in implementing and maintaining security protocols and procedures

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

• Relevant detail oriented certifications would be advantageous
