Drives International sales and market share growth, while improving profitability.
Provides strategic direction and support to global, regions and international markets.
Analyze business & innovation trends, identify opportunities, develop innovative strategies, and ensure executional excellence across the regions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
MARKET DEVELOPMENT
Analyze the international business and initiate projects and make recommendations to senior executives regarding business development opportunities.
Interface credibly with internal and external teams to represent the International point of view, lead presentations at business meetings, and make requests of other departments to support the international business.
Guide development of three⁃year International Strategy, work with regions and global team to identify and elaborate on key issues, develop recommendations and action plans with a particular focus on priority markets and channel development/retailing.
Evaluate new business opportunities and long⁃term growth potential through market visits, competitor assessment, economic modeling, business cases and research.
Lead market⁃specific task forces (i.e., new markets, turnaround markets, market relevancy projects).
Conduct market visits to understand market context, observe retail operations, identify areas for improvement, and recommend ways to fuel additional growth and ensure executional excellence.
COMMUNICATION/PRESENTATIONS
Meet with retailers and other International key stakeholders to present international strategies and initiatives and help accelerate sales growth.
Facilitates communication of all programs to regions and affiliates to ensure executional excellence.
Fosters constant communication between global brand and relevant international constituencies.
Actively participates in market visits, retailer presentations, new hire orientations, international/regional meetings.
Issuance of monthly regional executive summaries.
Enhance GMW platform in partnership with global brand department heads.
Consolidates information and oversees issuance of GMW update.
Collaborate and communicate with all functional teams in head office to ensure the needs of the markets are understood.
Share 'best practices' and 'lessons learned' with all regions to optimize competitive stance and Brand performance.
FINANCIAL ACUMEN
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to ensure financial and market share goals are achieved. Focus on initiatives that will generate sales and fuel like⁃door growth.
Utilize sound judgment and strong analytical skills to ensure that initiatives are executed.
Collaborate with International Finance to identify opportunities to improve business reporting and processes and maximize the division's efficiency.
MARKET ANALYTICS
Analyze problem areas to develop and implement effective and timely action plans.
Integrate international consumer insight into actionable strategic and tactical recommendations.
Gather and consolidate market and consumer intelligence from regions.
Understands local and regional market dynamics and provides feedback to global marketing.
Review international sell⁃through to identify regional needs and opportunities.
Enhance key performance indicators and productivity metrics to help Regional VPs/GM/Directors and their teams to identify areas of opportunity.
Participate in SIOP and monthly reviews to identify risks and opportunities to the sales plan (e.g., forecasts, door openings, competitor activity).
Qualifications
Understanding and appreciation that Licensor (brand) is the brand voice and creator.
Creativity in expressing and executing Licensor's vision in all related elements.
Undergraduate degree. MBA preferred.
15+ years of marketing and sales experience, preferably in International Business Development.
International experience or knowledge required, especially EMEAI, APAC.
Knowledge of luxury segment and consumer mindset in fashion and/or beauty required.
Strong leadership, influence, organizational and project management skills. Collaborative.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
Exceptional ability to motivate and develop top talent.
Global travel required (approximately 25 %). Foreign language skills required.
Strong financial background.
Passionate Coach.
Basic understanding of the region's economic, political, social, cultural, and business landscape and issues.
