JPMorgan Chase Strategy Business Manager - Vice President in New York, New York

Job Summary: As a Strategy Business Manager - Vice President within the Finance & Business Management department, you will play a critical role in supporting the global head of strategy for the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB). The head of CIB Strategy leads the design, development, and execution of the strategic agenda for all businesses within CIB. Projects under their purview include developing international growth strategies, assessing and planning new product and market entry, strategic business deep dives, and designing cross-CIB wide initiatives. Your role will be to support these efforts by managing key business processes and providing strategic insights to optimize business performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support:

  • Collaborate with the global head of CIB Strategy and senior leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives.

  • Provide input on team agendas, leadership priorities, team off-sites, and follow-ups.

  • Support the global head of CIB Strategy with presentations, special projects, and resolving day-to-day queries or issues.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.

  • Project Management:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic projects and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of strategic plans to drive business growth and operational efficiency within the Commercial & Investment Bank.

  • Talent Management:

  • Manage recruitment and new joiner processes, working closely with Human Resources to identify and attract top talent.

  • Assist with team-specific talent management and development priorities, including talent reviews, feedback processes, and training.

  • Financial Management:

  • Oversee budgeting and expense management processes, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting.

  • Work closely with the management team and Planning & Analysis to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.

  • Operational Support:

  • Establish strong relationships across business and functional support partners.

  • Manage real estate and workforce strategy initiatives in collaboration with Global Real Estate and Business Support Management.

  • Provide guidance on compliance and controls topics, liaising with central LOB teams as needed.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in finance, business management, project management, human resources, and/or operations in a large corporate environment.

  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • High level of professionalism and commitment.

  • Superior collaboration and strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • MBA or advanced degree.

  • Prior experience within finance or at a management consulting firm.

  • Comfortable introducing and facilitating conversations on social topics.
