Description
Outbound Communications is seeking a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to support Outbound Marketing efforts across Amazon’s Email, Push, SMS and emerging communication channels. We are responsible for the transmission of messages to all of Amazon's customers and deliver over 350 million messages a day. In close partnership with Marketing, Product and Engineering teams across Amazon, you will oversee building our growth processes and solution designs, and execute on bringing those processes to life. A successful candidate for this role will have a strong ability to work with stakeholders, understand business problems, and translate them into clear solutions.
Our goal is to delight Amazon customers worldwide with inspiring content and help them fulfill their shopping missions. We do this by driving awareness and discovery of Amazon’s products and services. We meet customers at their preferred communication channel(s) with the most relevant content, at the right time and frequency. As the Marketing Operations lead, you will responsible for identifying and building solutions to improve the speed to market of daily sends and net new content, bring the best across Amazon to customer’s inboxes and phones each day. During high velocity events (such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday), you will have a critical role overseeing flawless execution and sends during the event, working closely with tech and product teams to drive efficiencies and maximize results. You will regularly partner with engineering and analytics teams to not only scale and automate, but to innovate on behalf of our customers and marketers across Amazon. You will establish best practices for measuring and reporting on solutions, driving efficiencies and content optimizations. This role is highly autonomous and visible, and you have proven ability to influence stakeholders and partners to achieve goals, can work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate strongly with leaders.
Key job responsibilities
System Design: Build and Manage content and send plan calendaring across all Outbound channels working with key partner teams to align and identify personalized and seasonal content stories, driving cross-functional alignment while reducing businesses inefficiencies
Content and Campaign Growth Management: Manage and optimize intake of partner team content, driving new content development and optimization based on hind sighting and current seasonal calendars, with specific goal formalization and increasing total quantity of content intakes
High Velocity Event Campaign Design: Partner with marketers, tech, product to ensure marketing campaigns are built and executed within best practice, sending as planned, and ensuring we can measure and report out on business outcomes during key shopping timeframes (e.g. Black Friday and Cyber Monday)
Measures: Drive adoption and automation of hind sighting process across partner teams in partnership with Business Intelligence to aggregate content best practices and learnings and ensure learnings are taking into account for future content
Stakeholders: Develop key processes, documentation and provide any required training as it relates to the business processes and workflows to ensure proper usage and organizational efficiency and effectiveness
Basic Qualifications
6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
