Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a strategy to grow OB spend for Chinese Card Members traveling outside of China and spending in key Amex markets

  • Liaise, coordinate and negotiate across Amex teams and external merchant partners

  • Proactively find opportunities to launch offers in partnership with APAC, EMEA and North American market teams

  • Create and present compelling offers proposals, capturing EC’s OB value proposition and supported by data

  • Become a go-to-expert on the China market, with a particular focus on OB consumer trends

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in the payments industry, with sales experience and/or expertise in credit card offers or promotions

  • Adept at forming thoughtful and considered perspectives, supported by both objective fact and strategic conviction

  • Strong aptitude for influencing internal and external partners

  • Comfortable working against tight deadlines, bringing structure to imperfect information and ambiguity, and developing associated action plans

  • Strong work ethic with an intense will-to-win

  • Strong executive presence, effective written and verbal communicator

  • Experience working in, or with teams in, China

  • Flexibility to work across multiple time zones, as needed

  • Ability to travel to mainland China if business need arises
