Neuberger Berman Shareholder Services Representative - Analyst in New York, New York
Position Overview
This role is responsible for providing superior customer service and transaction support to our retail shareholder clients by processing trades, providing client service and fund operations requests.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide customer service and problem resolution for direct shareholders
Respond to inquiries from shareholders, sales, and other teams via email, phone, and other communication methods, i.e. account set up, account maintenance, and transaction processing requests via phone and/or email.
Seek to better understand client needs/expectations via formal and informal research and anticipate future needs based on changes to compliance and industry standards
Educate clients on products and resources.
Serve as the main point of contact between direct shareholders and the Fund’s transfer agent
Identify appropriate fund and/or service based on inquiries from prospective and current shareholders
Frequently work with internal groups (portfolio management, private asset management and Legal/Compliance) to deliver timely and accurate responses to client inquiries
Outbound calls to shareholders to resolve processing issues and Provide data to support responses to inquiries
Update applications and forms
Oversee external mutual fund shareholder website
Help fulfill shareholder requests by monitoring the contact email box
Escheatment
Provide monthly reports to the portfolio management team and monthly call statistics to Operations Management
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's degree required (a concentration in business or finance preferred)
Some business experience a plus, i.e. internship, part time job
Financial services, sales and/or customer service experience a plus
High level of professionalism required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
Ability to problem solve with strong follow-through
Proficient in MS Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Familiarity with TA2000 transfer agency system is a plus
Ability to work both independently and within a group
Has or willing to obtain the SIE, Series 6 and Series 63 licenses within 90 days of employment, required
Has or willing additionally to obtain the Series 65 or 66 and the Series 7, highly encouraged
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $50,000-$70,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
