Amazon Senior Solutions Architect, Global Financial Services, GFS - Partner Sales in New York, New York

Description

AWS is looking for an experienced technologist to be a trusted advisor to our Financial Services customers and partners as they adopt AWS.

In this role, you will be a core member of the Global Financial Services technology team, and play a key role in executing our go-to-market strategy. You will engage with customers and partners to determine business needs, identify opportunities and issues, and develop related technical solutions and value propositions leveraging the power of AWS cloud technology.

You will dive deeply into technical details (e.g. design choices, best practices, use cases) with customer and partner teams, bring deep Financial Services domain knowledge, be able to influence executive-level stakeholders, and be a key contributor to constructive technical solutions discussions. You will help customers identify both the opportunities and risks with their technical decisions. You will take part in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).

The Global Financial Services Partner team works with banks and insurance companies around the world to help them innovate on AWS using partners, including software companies and consulting firms. We build relationships with the customer, understand what success looks like for their organization, and help them accelerate on AWS by leveraging the power of partners.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will work directly with the largest banks and insurers in the world, helping them innovate, and take advantage of the scalability in the cloud. You will work with CTOs and MDs at our customer to help them think differently about building and using technology to drive better outcomes for their customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

  • Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs

  • Experience working with end user or developer communities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
