S&P Global Market Intelligence, Inc. seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead projects from QA perspective to ensure smooth delivery of projects in and Agile/Scrum framework. Actively participate in team meetings to support adequate project scoping, design reviews, test planning, and technical documentation review for assigned projects. Lead the testing activities on assigned projects and perform testing tasks; analyze requirements and ensure the testing strategy is aligned to a risk-based approach while mitigating risk exposure within all phases of project. Trigger, create, monitor and control the execution of automated test suites, identifying issues and potential gaps in reliable and efficient test suites to enable continuous improvements. Utilize test automation tools to develop and maintain automated regression test suite. Implement and support QA governance of testing processes, data, and execution metrics to help drive improvement in team performance. Perform risk analysis for features/projects in your ownership, provide mitigation and escalate appropriately. Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to analyze any issues, provide root cause analysis and resolution. Influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure highest levels of quality for the product/platform.Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related IT field, plus five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience as a Quality Engineer, Test Engineer, or related occupation. Five (5) years of experience must include:Software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing techniques in an Agile/Scrum framework.Testing modern web applications.Utilizing white box testing skills to capture and report detailed test results.Writing SQL queries and complex joins to retrieve data sets from SQL/Oracle databases, looking up field definitions in data management systems, inferring associated relationships, and using them for constructing complex SQL queries and compare against expected results.Testing web services and APIs using REST and SOAP protocols.Automating web applications using Selenium web driver and object-oriented programming language.Utilizing test automation tools to develop and maintain automated regression test suite.Automating iOS and Android mobile web applications.Utilizing build tools including Jenkins/Bamboo to configure build jobs, trigger job executions, and debug and monitor execution results.Utilizing source code management tools including Git and SVN track changes to source code, manage collaboration among peers working on the same code base, and facilitate code reviews of code check-ins.Utilizing defect reporting tools including JIRA or Azure DevOps to create and track Agile tasks and perform search queries on stories, features, defects, backlog, and releases.The anticipated base salary range for this position is $143,021 to $ 170,400. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
