    Today, the New-York Beauty Tech Accelerator hub is seeking a Tech lead to join a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team with an entrepreneurial mindset.

    Based in New-York, the Tech Lead will be responsible to design, build and support different solutions built under the portfolio of products of the New-York Tech Accelerator. Strong technical leadership, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills are essential for this role, as the Tech Lead will effectively gatekeep the technical solutions, influence technical choices, and drive innovation within the organization.

    What You Will Do:

    As a Tech Lead, you will:

  • Participate in the development of products along with other experts in their respective fields (Example of other experts include Data Science, Business Subject-matter-experts, UI.UX, Data Engineering, Data Visualization etc.) and play a dual role of tech-advisory and hands-on delivery expert during the design and development phases

  • Dedicate some capacity to identify, test and learn new approaches, technologies, and tools

  • Do rapid prototyping in specific scenarios where there is a need to demonstrate product capabilities to the business leads

  • Review, challenge, control and/or develop web applications with our product teams

  • Work across the stack to deliver new features or new web applications from start-to-finish

  • Monitor and drive the technical project teams in their web developments to ensure a good level of compliance

  • Provide advisory with our run teams on some bugs correction or features improvement

  • Implement APIs, usable UIs; contribute to their design with the UX teams & POs

  • Improve performance and overcome scalability and computation delays for existing applications

  • Define and build the Unit & integration tests, to be integrated in the CI process

  • Build the project integrations with SonarQube and follow up the Code quality scores

  • Design & build the functional tests scripts

  • Guarantee the implementation of our security requirement in the web Development

  • Contribute to the DevSecOps initiatives and tools

  • Monitor and plan for reduction of technical debt on the web applications, during maintenance phase

    What We Are Looking For:

  • Required

  • 5 years of experience in full stack development & technical engineering

  • APIs development: Swagger, API management, NodeJS (Express)

  • Front end development, React JS: advanced level of experience, Cucumber or Testim for functional testing)

  • Experience in the full product lifecycle including gathering technical requirements, solution design, implementation, and production deployment.

  • Excellent communication in English (both verbal and written) and collaboration with remote and global teams.

  • Team player and proactive in proposing solutions when faced with ambiguous tech problems.

  • Passion for code simplicity, performance, and details (incl. documentation)

  • Preferred :

  • Cloud engineering experience (GCP or AWS)

  • DevOps experience on cloud platforms (data engineering pipelines, CICD, docker, unit/integration tests)

  • Data warehousing experience (SQL/Postgres SQL)

  • Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of GCP Cloud Build or other CI tools (Jenkins)

  • Expertise in GCP/ Cloud certifications (developer)

  • Python
