How will you make an impact in this role?

Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in providing payments solutions for Small, Medium, and Large Enterprises. We are in the business of helping our clients get business done! Accelerating sales and driving profitable charge volume growth are critical for the success of the organization. The Sales Enablement team is instrumental in driving these objectives.

The Senior Manager will play a critical role in supporting the development of growth and data-driven strategies to improve portfolio performance and drive execution, while working alongside senior leadership within GCS. The ideal candidate should demonstrate creativity, curiosity, and passion for dealing with large amounts of data and converting it into valuable, actionable information. We seek a thought-leader and a problem-solver who can blend business, technical, and industry best practices when it comes to developing data-driven solutions.

This position will support the development and implementation of analytical solutions, to provide consultative support to the GCS leadership team. The incumbent will also highlight trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance business decision-making processes, while working very closely with Sales, Marketing, Capabilities, Technology, Finance, and Analytics teams to drive growth in the sales organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Apply analytical thinking to diagnose business needs and to establish analytical hypothesis and solutions; Deliver sophisticated analyses independently; Leverage predictive modeling to identify tactics for optimization and conceptualize opportunities. Develop insights into Sales agent and client behavior and introduce new approaches to transform complex behavioral data into actionable information.

  • Technical Skills: Have outstanding knowledge of Hive, SQL, and Python encompassing data manipulation and statistical modeling/data-mining techniques. Deep understanding of machine learning/statistical algorithms such as deep learning and boosting. Experience with data visualization is a plus. Range of delivery from measurement packages and business analytics to advanced machine learning models and algorithms.

Creativity to go beyond current tools to deliver the best solution to the problem, ability and comfort with working independently and making key decisions on projects

  • Multi-Disciplinary Leadership: Ability to lead multiple and sophisticated work streams, and to work across departmental boundaries and deliver a diverse set of initiatives that result in impactful outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering)

  • Strong working knowledge of analytics, data mining, machine learning techniques, and understanding of data processing. Ability to address performance issues and to manipulate both structured and unstructured data

  • Demonstrated ability to frame business problems into mathematical programming problems, leverage external thinking and tools (from academia and/or other industries) to engineer a solution and deliver business insights

  • Proficient coding experience in Python/SQL, experience with Hadoop and Spark is a plus

  • Proficiency in analytical and statistical tools (e.g., Hive, PySpark, scikit-learn etc.)

  • Experience in Big Data environment, inclusive of data mining techniques.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel pivot, macros, deck-writing)

  • Proven track record of independently developing novel analytical solutions optimizing business processes

  • Ability to cultivate relationships and partner with multiple collaborators, with superb interpersonal skills

  • Ability to deliver results, work independently, and prioritize tasks

  • Self-starter who thrives in an evolving, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters/PhDs in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operation Research, Engineering and etc.) with hands-on experience leveraging sophisticated analytical and machine learning techniques.

  • 2 years’ experience of applying machine learning techniques to real business problems

  • Experience leading teams – ideally across geographies.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
